SUSTAINABILITY OFFICE - TOITŪ TE TAIAO

About our Team/Mō te tīma

We believe in the power of positive change to create a world we all want to live in. We can be the ones to make the change, because we have to be. Let’s make it happen!

The Toitū te Taiao/Sustainability Office is a small team that are driven to create positive changes on campus and across the University community. We work across departments, with other courageous leaders to deliver sustainable progress and encourage others to consider how sustainability connects to their work and/or study.

We are committed to be Net Carbon Zero by 2030. This is a big challenge, and we need a skilled and dedicated team to get us there.

The role/Te mahi

In this role you will be able to see your contribution to the University’s Net Carbon Zero Programme. You will be providing project administration support, gathering and processing data for reporting on greenhouse gas emissions and supporting wider sustainability reports as required.

Your mahi will contribute to projects and initiatives that will lead to significant changes at an organisational level.

This role is well suited for a recent graduate, or a current post-graduate student nearing the end of their studies, with a passion for sustainability and working towards making a meaningful change and difference to the world around them.

Your skills and experience/Kā pūkeka me kā wheako

You’ll be the type of person who isn’t afraid of tackling ambitious goals and someone that wants to play a part in the fight against climate change.

To be successful in this role you will be someone who loves organisation and finding/researching answers and information to tricky questions.
