The Toitū te Taiao/Sustainability Office is a small team that are driven to create positive changes on campus and across the University community. We work across departments, with other courageous leaders to deliver sustainable progress and encourage others to consider how sustainability connects to their work and/or study. We are committed to be Net Carbon Zero by 2030. This is a big challenge, and we need a skilled and dedicated team to get us there. The role/Te mahi In this role you will be able to see your contribution to the University’s Net Carbon Zero Programme. You will be providing project administration support, gathering and processing data for reporting on greenhouse gas emissions and supporting wider sustainability reports as required. Your mahi will contribute to projects and initiatives that will lead to significant changes at an organisational level. This role is well suited for a recent graduate, or a current post-graduate student nearing the end of their studies, with a passion for sustainability and working towards making a meaningful change and difference to the world around them. Your skills and experience/Kā pūkeka me kā wheako You’ll be the type of person who isn’t afraid of tackling ambitious goals and someone that wants to play a part in the fight against climate change. To be successful in this role you will be someone who loves organisation and finding/researching answers and information to tricky questions. Some understanding of climate change and the effect of greenhouse gas emissions would be useful. Prior project experience is not required. Further details/Pūroko This is a permanent, part time (0.5FTE/18.75 hours) position, located in Dunedin. The salary level for this position is provisionally evaluated as Level 3 and is subject to change. The appointments range for Level 3 is $55,538 to $59,904. Top of the Range $64,270.
