Te āheinga: The opportunity

Joining a small and supportive team, you'll provide services to our staff and students, ensuring that our data communications networks (incorporating change management, capacity management, disaster recovery management, and configuration management) are well administered, in line with the ITIL model.

Providing LAN/WAN network software and infrastructure support, you will be responsible for upgrades and regular patching to maintain adequate levels of software/firmware for all LAN/WAN network and firewall infrastructure and software, including switches and wireless infrastructure.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to hone your skills, partner with the wider IT team to design and implement new infrastructure/technologies and collaborate on projects that provide upskilling. He kōrero mōu: About you

We're seeking an intermediate level Network Engineer, with 5 years of experience and solid practical knowledge of core networking services. To succeed in the role, you'll bring:

  • CCNP certification or equivalent experience
  • Solid technical skills - including experience managing firewalls, patching firmware, fault fixing, upgrades, installs and decommissions.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying best practices to maintain security systems.
  • A customer-centric working style.
  • Be a positive team player who enjoys working with others
