Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
UC's Health Centre are seeking a motivated and highly organised Medical Receptionist to join the team as a first point of contact. You will be responsible for providing quality customer service in order to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the Health Centre whilst providing an exceptional standard of care to the patients. The role will include general reception duties including greeting students and staff and responding to counter, phone and email enquiries to ensure a professional, friendly and resourceful reception area. You will also support the Practice Manager with delegated administrative duties ensuring all funding opportunities are processed and accounted for in a timely manner.
Mōu | Who You Are
As the successful candidate you will have experience in a similar front-facing reception or administration role, as well as the following:
- experience working in a similar role within a medical environment
- demonstrated intermediate computer skills and the ability to use relevant medical software, preferably Medtech Evolution
- an understanding of the Code of Practice for Health and Disability Services and the Health Information Privacy Code
- highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer focus
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- conscientious attention to detail and time management skills.

A multi-disciplinary team of GP's, Nurses and Counsellors devoted to providing excellent Medical, Counselling and Related Services to the Students and wider community of the University of Canterbury, enhancing the identity and wellbeing of that Community.
