Te āheinga: The opportunity 

As a Mathematics and Sciences Lecturer, you will provide quality educational outcomes in mathematics and sciences for students studying at Level 3 and Level 4 Bridging Education Certificates. Bridgepoint's Kaupapa is to 'create pathways to success' for all our students. Our role is to provide our students with access and opportunity to develop real and authentic learning pathways that staircase them into higher education and ultimately employment. In order to achieve this for the students, learning is highly contextual and collaborative across the learning programs that they study in.

This is a part-time role, working 18.75 hours per week.

He kōrero mōu: 

You'll have:

· An understanding or desire to learn Te Reo Māori, Tikanga Māori, and the values and practices of Kaupapa Māori

· Evidence of active engagement in building diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplaces/environments

· Experience in teaching mathematics and sciences to students with wide range of abilities and attitudes to the subject

· A passion for mathematics/science education and an interest in developing pedagogies.

· Experience in teaching students in the tertiary/secondary sector

· Experience in developing innovative and contextualised programs or courses

· Strong student-centered focus with an interest in working with neurodiverse learners

· A positive and flexible approach to problem-solving in the work environment

· Team player with a positive can-do attitude and a willingness to collaborate

· Knowledge of relevant software packages Microsoft office/ Moodle and a willingness to learn new technology

· A reflective practitioner committed to continuous improvement and growth
