Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
Te Kaupeka Ako| Faculty of Education at the University of Canterbury is seeking to appoint a new colleague specialising in Primary Literacy. This position is a full-time and fixed term until December 2025. The successful applicant will mainly contribute to teaching in initial teacher education programmes across the bachelor and graduate level. Some course development may be part of the role.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate their passion and experience in areas that align with Te Kura Whakangungu Kaiako | School of Teacher Education. Expertise in one of the following specialisms is desired: Supporting diverse literacy learners, Better Start literacy programme, bicultural practices to enhance literacy learning, or supporting struggling literacy learners.

The salary range for this position is: Senior Tutor and Lecturer (Teaching and Administration Only) grade 1.01 ($66,874) to grade 4.04 ($117,730).
