Industry Relationship Manager

What's this role all about?

In this role, you will work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders, identifying and building mutually beneficial relationships between AUT and industry.  You will enjoy finding out what different employers and industries are looking for in their graduates and feed this information back to our Employability team. As one of two key conduits between the Employability team and industry, you will thrive in maximising industry/business partnership opportunities and being a champion for AUT students and graduates, thereby helping to enhance and facilitate graduate success in the marketplace. You will develop new connections with industry for AUT whilst developing and enhancing those already existing.

Whilst this is a really autonomous role, you will also be a genuine team player and be heavily involved in engaging great industry contacts to participate in AUT career fairs, employer presentations and graduate recruitment campaigns - just to name a few. You'll also work closely with our Alumni team to identify opportunities to re-engage ex-students and bring their experience and knowledge back to AUT help our current students really understand the 'real world of work'…

What kind of person are we looking for?

• You will likely already have at least five years' experience as a Client Relationship Manager and be able to demonstrate experience building and maintaining strong partnerships with both large organisations and SME's.
• You will be a people person with an affinity for students and the tertiary environment, easily building networks and great working relationships with staff and students.
• You will have experience planning, organising and running events
• You will be extremely organised and efficient and be an innovative problem solver who communicates exceptionally at all levels
• Presentation will be one of your strengths and you will be comfortable talking to large groups
• You may have some leadership or management experience

Salary Range: $84,000 - $103,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
