Fitness Operations Coordinator

Permanent Term, full-time (37.5 hours per week; rotating AM, and PM shifts)

Our dynamic fitness team is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated person with leadership and vision to take up the important position supervising the AUT Sport & Fitness Centre on the North Campus

The role involves:

• Providing a professional service to meet the requirements of the Centre
• Providing quality exercise prescription, demonstration and instruction to members
• Managing gym systems, processes and procedures within the Centre
• Providing leadership, guidance and supervision to fitness centre staff
• Ensuring that the fitness centre environment is a safe working and training environment
• Being innovative in your approach with ideas and delivery of programmes and initiatives within the Centre

The applicant must be an experienced Fitness Instructor with a high level of programming and exercise prescription skills, and be REPs registered. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative, organisational and communication skills and be able to lead a team of instructors. They will also require attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines to ensure that the gym provides a high level of service and runs efficiently.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $75,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
