Open Polytechnic operates nationwide as the specialist provider of vocational open and distance learning.

Open Polytechnic is seeking Adjuncts (Contractors) to mark (assess) learner assessments for courses within the following qualifications: 

The successful applicant(s) are required to:

  • Hold a degree level qualification in a related field
  • Have industry based knowledge/experience

Adjunct activities can include the following:

Mark learner assessments electronically via our Online Marking tool, providing accurate, reliable, and valid assessment that is consistent with the marking schedule, and provide feedback that supports ākonga in their learning.

  • Workplace Assessing (Face-to-Face)

This is an occasional role that requires the Workplace Assessor to assess learners' practical skills at dispensing, face to face, in their own workplace. Especially looking for Workplace Assessors in Whanganui, Patea, Waverley and Christchurch areas.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Relevant industry experience
  • Relevant qualification
  • Technology capability with access to internet, computer, and telephone/mobile phone
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Passion for quality, positive outcomes for ākonga
  • NZ Bank Account and IRD number.

Training and access to online tools will be provided. 

This is a contracted Adjunct role which is undertaken part-time and offsite. Training with regards to Open Polytechnic's expectations will be provided.  Fees payable are competitive and reflect the skills and knowledge required to undertake the Adjunct role.
