Exercise Consultant
Part time role working 17hrs per week providing health & wellbeing advice + fitness consultation at our onsite gym facilities.
Mō te tūka | The role
Seeking interest for a motivated consultant to provide excellent health and wellbeing advice and fitness consultation to all our customers, working at our modern onsite gym facilities.
This role is based in the gym within our sport and recreation centre, a renowned and longstanding national hub of sporting excellence where high-performance athletes come to sharpen their competitive edge, was expanded and modernised in 2020/21 to further enhance its reputation as a welcoming and all-inclusive community asset.
This is a permanent part time role working 17 hours per week (0.43 FTE) based at our Lincoln Campus. You will be working four days per week as follows:
- Monday: 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm
- Tuesday 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm
- Wednesday: 6:00 am to 11.00am
- Thursday 6:00 am to 11:00 am
The remuneration range is set at $57,043 per annum, pro rata to 0.43 FTE (approx. $29.17/hr).
Kā tino Pūkeka/Whēako | Essential skills/experience for the role
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Proven ability and experience in assessing and implementing robust sports programmes for a variety of individuals and groups.
- The ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing as well as the ability to engage people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Demonstrated success and ability to develop effective relations with colleagues, team members, clients, members of other organisations, agencies and sporting bodies.
- Proven analysis and problem-solving skills both individually and within a team context.
- Proven and demonstrable time management skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- An intermediate level of computer literacy is required.
- Bachelor of Physical Education or equivalent qualification (preferred).
- Registration with professional personal trainer body of NZ (preferred).
