Te āheinga: The opportunity
This position is responsible for planning and delivering corporate and staff events for Unitec and providing support for the communications team as required. This is a full-time permanent position of 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
He kōrero mōu: About you
- An understanding or desire to learn Te Reo Māori, Tikanga Māori and the values and practices of Kaupapa Māori
- Evidence of active engagement in building diverse, inclusive and equitable work places/environments
- Experience in delivery of events, sponsorship and relationship management
- Excellence in attention to detail, planning skills, and relationship management
- Strong networker and negotiator
- Demonstrated capabilities in project management
- Demonstrated capabilities in the preparation and management of budgets
- A tertiary qualification, preferably in Event Management, Communication or Marketing.
- Knowledge and experience with the stakeholders and target markets of a tertiary institute
- Experience in marketing/events in tertiary education sector
- Demonstrated capabilities in the use of business software - InDesign, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
