Are you a creative, detail-oriented individual passionate about event planning and coordination? The DCT Faculty Office / Te Ipukarea Research Institute is seeking an Event Coordinator to oversee all aspects of our event organization. This pivotal role involves assessing client needs, ensuring smooth event execution, and reflecting positively on our University.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and organize various events, including conferences, workshops, and cultural gatherings.
- Manage logistical details such as venue selection, catering, and transportation.
- Collaborate with university departments, student organizations, and external vendors.
- Oversee budget management, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with university policies and conduct post-event evaluations.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, marketing, or a related field is desirable.
- Proven experience in event planning, preferably in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of equity, diversity principles, and Tikanga Māori would be advantageous.
- Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Salary Range: $56,500 - $75,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
