Āu Mahi | What You Will Do

As an Enterprise Architect you will seek to understand and evaluate the organisational impact of new technologies and digital services; and creatively apply innovative thinking and design practices in identifying solutions that will deliver value for the benefit of the customer/stakeholder.

You will facilitate collaboration between stakeholders (who often have diverse goals) therefore you are an influential communicator experienced in working with colleagues at all levels across the organisation to both technical and non-technical audiences articulating business objectives.

The Enterprise Architect has overall ownership of UC's Enterprise Architecture (including the architecture, artefacts, their repositories, and practice frameworks), and is therefore responsible for the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of the entire Architecture Team.

Mōu | Who You Are

As a senior digital professional you will have a minimum of 15 years in the IT/Digital industry, where at least 5 is as a senior architecture position related to Enterprise Architecture. Ideally you will have:

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree or Graduate Diploma (NZQA Level 7) in IT (however a Bachelor's Degree in Enterprise Architecture desirable or Master's Degree such as MBA desirable)
  • TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) certification desirable
  • Demonstrable experience in effectively implementing and applying Enterprise Architecture frameworks (including documentation standards, tools, artefacts, processes, and methodologies).
  • Demonstrable experience in leading a team of diverse Architects.
  • Demonstrable experience in being a senior/lead Architect in the Implementation of one or more significant technology platforms across an organisation.
  • Architecture experience in the Higher Education industry highly desirable.
