Position Overview

Te Kūnenga ki Pūrehuroa Massey University’s Teaching Academy is an academic staff development team. The team works in close partnership with other CET teams, to provide leadership, expertise, and support in fulfilling significant teaching and learning priorities for the University.

As the Digital Content Developer (DCD), you'll provide resource design and creation services to support capability development initiatives. These initiatives include improving teaching, learning, research and student experience. Working closely with subject matter experts, you'll design digital training and development materials that support the University’s research, learning and teaching goals - facilitating student success!

Essential to your success will the ability to demonstrate the following:

  • A relevant undergraduate degree is essential.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in instructional design preferably in capability development contexts.
  • Experience of working on multiple projects within changing environments.
  • Experience in academic development in a university environment.
  • Experience in working on multiple projects within changing environments.
  • A sound knowledge of Moodle and SharePoint and exposure to web design.

Reporting to the Director Teaching Academy, this role could be located at our Auckland, Wellington or Palmerston North campus.
