The Faculty of Dentistry—Te Kaupeka Pūniho—has an international reputation for clinical and research excellence. Founded in 1907, it is New Zealand's National Centre for Dentistry. It forms an integral part of the Division of Health Sciences within the University of Otago.

The role/Te mahi

A rare and exciting opportunity waits at our progressive and high-tech dental laboratory. We are looking for a new team member to join our Otago University Technical Services Laboratory.

As a Dental Technology Auxiliary, within our Department, you will assist technical staff with the construction and the production of dental prostheses. From preparation of plaster models and moulds, assisting other staff and undertaking administration duties in the lab, no two days will be the same.

We are at the forefront of new technologies and techniques in the dental field. We demand a high standard of work, and are committed to personal development and training.

Your skills and experience/Kā pūkeka me kā wheako

•    A seasoned professional with excellent organisational skills.
•    An openness and capability to learn new technologies.
•    A confident communication style and the ability to interact across all mediums, and
•    You’ll hold a current First Aid Certificate.

While not essential, ideally, you’ll have previous experience working in the dental industry.

This position is permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week), located in Dunedin.
