Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Course Administration & Timetabling Coordinator on a permanent, full-time contract.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Creating and maintaining the academic, tutorial and end-trimester test timetables as well as appropriate reporting.
  • Assisting in the central management of the end-trimester test periods.
  • Maintaining the DegreeWorks degree audit software to ensure up-to-date data is available for staff and students.
  • Providing efficient and effective usage of rooms across the University.
  • Working co-operatively with other university staff and units to ensure the accurate configuration and maintenance of course and qualification data.

You will be a motivated, detail-focused individual who enjoys working in a busy, multi-task and multi-system environment, and who can remain calm under pressurised conditions.

As a champion of effective time management and forward planning, you will be a highly organised self-starter and natural relationship builder who relishes working autonomously as well as contributing positively to a high performing team.

You will display highly competent administration skills and an ability to work methodically and keep on-task till the work is completed. Experience within a tertiary environment and/or with a timetabling system such as Syllabus Plus or CMIS would be an advantage.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven ability to work to a very high standard of accuracy, with an appreciation of the importance of data integrity.
  • Proven ability to proactively manage time and tasks in a fast-pace and open-plan environment.
  • Proven experience working in a large organisation supporting multiple stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to communicate and build effective relationships with a wide range of colleagues, users and stakeholders.

Role Description - Initial appointment from $55,244 to $67,000 per annum, with further growth to $77,346.
