Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
Utilising your considerable experience in counselling a wide variety of clients, you will be responsible for providing prompt counselling services within professional standards and ethical practices to students to enhance student success. Such services would provide a variety of counselling interventions including a focus on brief interventions and/or seeking consultation with other health professionals as appropriate. You will promote education and awareness of counselling services to students and wider UC Community and participate in the development and delivery of programs, services and may be asked to deliver educational workshops.
Mōu | Who You Are
Ideally you will have a bachelor's degree and higher qualification in a relevant discipline such as Counselling or Social Work as well as holding a current registration or professional membership. Along with this you will have:
- excellent record keeping, case note and report writing skills
- interpersonal skills and able to work effectively in a consultative and team environment
- have knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
- experience using a medical database such as MedTech would be helpful.
