The Department of Nursing (formerly the Centre for Postgraduate Nursing Studies), based in Christchurch, is the only South Island University provider of postgraduate nursing education and research. The Department of Nursing is ranked in the top 100 nursing schools in the world (QS ratings, 2019).

The Department is both a leader and innovator in the development of advanced nursing programmes, including the Nurse Practitioner pathway, and has strong links with South Island District Health Boards and other clinical providers.

The role/Te mahi

This position presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and leadership of an expanding programme in Nursing Studies, including specialty postgraduate courses, Masters degrees (with pathway to Nurse Practitioner) and PhD research. 
 
Senior Clinical Lecturers support teaching across a range of papers or in clinical settings, to post-graduate level, in the professional area of specialisation.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching, and will be committed to advancing nursing education.

Applications are sought from Nurse Practitioners with extensive clinical experience. Candidates should be registered with a current Annual Practicing Certificate, or be eligible for registration in New Zealand with extensive clinical experience.

This is a part time (0.6 FTE), permanent position, located in Christchurch. 

The salary range for this position is $112,482 to $128,305 per annum.

As a part-time position, the salary range for this role will be the pro-rata equivalent of the annual full-time salary range listed.

You must have the right to live and work in New Zealand to apply for this role.

Joint clinical positions will be considered where applicants maintain a research, consultative and/or clinical specialty.
