About the role

In this role, you will contribute to our mission of raising philanthropic funds to support the university's strategy and priorities. You will

  • Be responsible for the operational running of the AUT Foundation including evaluating operational strategies and processes
  • Develop and implement the Foundation's strategy to align with AUT Strategy 'Te Kete'
  • Identify, steward and ensure the donor experience is outstanding
  • Manage relationships between AUT's Foundation and University Stakeholders.

You will play a crucial role in helping us achieve our vision of 'enriching lives and creating a better world through technology, learning, and discovery', by building relationships, engaging with donors, and securing funding for our strategic initiatives.

Skills and Experience

You will bring with you:

  • Experience working within education or charity fundraising environments
  • A solid understanding of the steps required to secure gifts
  • Knowledge and practice in the principles of equity and diversity
  • Strong administrative skills, including using fundraising software.
