Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting an Adviser, Information and Records Management to support the Information and Records Management programme, on a permanent, full-time contract. Your enthusiasm for information and records management and effective communication skills will enable you to influence staff while you build and maintain positive and productive relationships across the University.

The role is to act as a trusted Adviser to University staff by providing high quality advice, education and training for information and records management activities. The successful applicant will also assist in the management of physical records.

To be effective in this role you will have:

  • A relevant University degree or tertiary qualification.
  • A strong interest in, and enthusiasm for, information and records management.
  • Basic knowledge of the legislation, regulations, standards and principles informing and underpinning information and records management including the Public Records Act 2005, the Privacy Act 2020, the Contract and Commercial Law Act 2017 and the Official Information Act 1982.
  • A high level of computer literacy.
