Our Unitec Pathway College (UPC) is responsible for increasing and enhancing Unitec's visibility and reputation to secure prospective students. This includes secondary-aged students and their key influencers through schools/Kura and other avenues.

Te āheinga: The opportunity

In this busy and rewarding administrative role, you will provide efficient and effective administrative support to the Unitec Pathways College team. 

You'll support the operational activities which drive recruitment of prospective students, including the promotion of educational opportunities to prospective Under-25-year-old students and their key influencers, through schools/kura, PTEs, Wānanga, communities, events and government agencies.

This is a great role for someone passionate about working with young people, thrives on internal and external stakeholder interaction, and is highly effective in providing administrative support.

You'll have:

  • An understanding or desire to learn Te Reo Māori, Tikanga Māori, and the values and practices of Kaupapa Māori
  • Evidence of active engagement in building diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplaces/environments
  • Skills in developing strong and positive relationships with key stakeholders.
  • A strong customer-centric approach.
  • Attention to detail and target driven.
  • Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • You'll inspire, energise and engage.
  • Understanding NCEA, vocational pathways and trade academies would be helpful but not essential.

It is important to us that you demonstrate a willingness to commit to the values of Te Noho Kotahitanga and the embedding of mātauranga Māori.
