We work to support the Otago journey for 21,000 students, receiving and validating applications, maintaining student records and managing the examination process, and each year supporting thousands of bright minds as they graduate from the University of Otago.

We are the Student Administration team within the Academic Division. 

Your tasks within the Student Administration team will be supporting Examinations or the Graduation, Research, Scholarships, Awards and Prizes portfolios.  For Graduation the requirement for this role is to support the running of graduation ceremonies that are held on Saturdays (five times a year). For Examinations the requirement for this role is to support the running of examinations, including Saturday and evening examinations.

•    Exposure to work in a busy administration environment.
•    Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy.
•    A passion for customer service and delivering exceptional service to students and staff.
•    Ability to work independently but also collaboratively within a team environment.
•    Strong Microsoft office and PC skills.
 
Due to the nature of the role, the range of tasks and responsibilities is broad and may require performing duties at different workplaces or locations across campus. We are committed to on-going training and development in order to upskill successful candidates in areas that they desire more exposure to.

Who we are/Mō te tīma
 
Our team of professional staff focus on the experience felt by our students here at the University of Otago. Our wider Academic Division is responsible for strategic oversight of teaching and learning policy and practice, oversight of academic staff confirmation and promotion, and other various teams which provide support to our student community.
 
Further Details/ Pūroko
 
We have two full-time (37.5 hours) permanent positions available, located in Dunedin.

The appointment range for this position is $59,285 to $63,651 per annum.
