Position Overview

We are seeking two Administrators to join a newly formed administration team within the College of Sciences. These are permanent full-time positions, one based on our Auckland campus in Albany and the other on the Manawatū campus in Palmerston North.

Working under the Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor of the College of Sciences, the role is expected to provide comprehensive and high-quality administration using an “all of College” approach.

Āu Mahi | What you will do
 
You will support staff and students in our Schools and administer to make things happen that contribute to School, student and staff academic success.  The role is 37.5 hours Monday to Friday and requires the successful candidate to be on campus to deliver the service.

As the successful candidate you will bring: 

  • Experience in systems and processes within an administrative environment (essential).
  • Well-developed interpersonal communication skills, being receptive and helpful when dealing with a diverse range of people within the University and externally.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to handle varying levels of complexity and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, with a high level of maturity, initiative, and personal integrity.
  • Proven ability for accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to question.
  • Demonstrated relevant work experience in academic administration is preferred.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • A team commitment and you can maintain and model productive working relationships.
