The role/Te mahi

This is a very busy but exciting role with an amazing team. In this role you will provide administrative support for the 4th Year Urban General Practice and 5th Year Rural Health programmes.  Communication is key, with tutors, placement providers, accommodation providers, travel providers and students. 

Other tasks include providing support with OSCE exams, clinical skills workshops and simulated clinics including preparation of intro packs, tutorial handouts and tutor allocation.  You will also be involved in other administrative tasks to support the Department.

We are looking for someone who thrives on a challenge and who enjoys playing a pivotal role in the department – you will need the ability to work autonomously and develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders.

We are looking for candidates with:
•    Previous experience in a busy and/or complex administration environment.
•    Excellent relationship building skills.
•    A passion for customer service and delivering exceptional service to customers.
•    Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programmes.
•    Excellent organisational, time management skills and an attention to detail.
•    The ability to work as part of a team and individually.
•    The ability to be calm, adaptable, and flexible in a fast-paced environment.
•    An ongoing commitment to positive outcomes for our students, staff, and visitors.

About our team/Mō te tīma

The Divisional Services and Administration team is a group of highly skilled professional staff responsible for delivering an outstanding student and staff experience through high quality, effective service delivery to all of the University’s internal and external customers.

This is a permanent, full time (37.5 hours per week) position, located in Dunedin.

The appointments range for this role is $59,285 to $63,651.
