Toi Ohomai delivers quality vocational education and training to both domestic and international students, across five main campuses in Rotorua, Tauranga, Taupō, Tokoroa and Whakatāne, and 68 delivery sites across the Bay of Plenty and South Waikato.

We have one vacancy for an Academic Staff Member within the Immigration team in the Faculty of Business, Design and Service Industries. The position is permanent full time. However, we will consider applicants seeking part time work.

The role involves teaching on the Graduate Diploma in New Zealand Immigration Advice. As an Academic Staff Member within the Immigration team you may be required to teach online; review, and update resources and learning materials; set and mark assessments and enter results; assist with the monitoring and care of students; and actively participate in the team and teaching environment. As the programme is delivered completely online, you are not required to be based at our Tauranga or Rotorua Campus.

The key responsibilities for this position include:

· Delivery of the Graduate Diploma in New Zealand Immigration Advice 

· Providing leadership in student management 

· Developing, planning and implementing student assessment, courses and resource material 

· Monitoring student progress and results and providing timely and accurate advice and support as required  

· Actively engaging in research 

The skills, experience and qualifications required for this role include:

· Recognised relevant bachelor’s degree 

· Four years’ experience in the immigration industry 

· Teaching experience preferred 

· Experience in the development of student learning material preferred
