  • A competitive salary in the range of EUR 5247 – 6737 gross per month, depending on experience (pay scale 12 in accordance with the Collective Labor Agreement for Dutch Universities), based on a full time position. In case of exceptional experience or knowledge a labor market allowance might be a possibility.

Organisation
The grant advisor works from the Grant Development Office, which is part of the Strategy and Academics Affairs Directorate (SAZ). SAZ is part of the Administration and Central Services of Leiden University. The 45 SAZ employees support the Executive Board and the faculties in the field of strategic development of the university in education, research, impact and valorisation, sustainability, internationalization, research funding advice and diversity & inclusion. SAZ advises and supports the formulation, design, monitoring, evaluation and adjustment of strategy and policy, working together with colleagues from across the university.

The Grant Development Team as part of the larger Research Funding Community focuses on expert support for the acquisition of research funding. This entails supporting researchers in their bids for funding, as well as supporting agenda setting in- and outside the university.
