The reNEW Node in Leiden is seeking for a senior bioinformatician in the team of multidisciplinary researchers working on development of stem cell models of human disease. The bioinformatician will support the analysis of bulk and single-cell RNA-seq and spatial transcriptomics datasets generated from human stem cell models and integrating them with primary human datasets. Your main tasks include analysis of large datasets, using established or new pipelines, statistical and machine-learning analyses, data visualization, and written & oral reporting to the team of stem cell biologists. You will also produce high quality visualization of data for publications and prepare and publish manuscripts. Supporting junior researchers in the team (PhD students, Postdocs) and providing advice on the experimental design and analysis methods are also your responsibility. Finally, you will work independently on several major and minor projects across independent teams of researchers.
