Description
Radar Engineer in the Antenna and Infrastructure Section, Ground Station Engineering Division, Ground Systems Engineering and Innovation Department, Directorate of Operations.
Duties
You will report to the Head of the Antenna and Infrastructure Section and will be assigned to ESAC and report functionally to the Spanish Space Surveillance and Tracking (S3T) Project Manager.
In carrying out of your duties, you will be in charge of the development and engineering activities related to ground based radars for surveillance and tracking applications, including radar system and sub-system design, procurement and Assembly, Integration and on-site Validation, in particular for the following tasks:
- Supporting the evolution and procurement of the S3T Surveillance Radar from the present V1 version to the V2 version, planned for the period 2022-2025 and from V2 to V3 planned for the period 2025-2028;
- Supporting development of the S3T Tracking Radars;
- Specification, development, procurement and validation of radar subsystems required, including trade-off analysis;
- Supporting radar R & D activities;
- Conducting internal/external studies and prototyping in the area of radar subsystems;
- Managing industrial contracts for the above.

Knowledge of another Member State language would be an asset.
