Recruitment of Full-time Academic Staff

Macao Polytechnic University (MPU) is a comprehensive and public university distinguished by high standard of scholarship in both teaching and applied research. Through the all-rounded scheme for cultivation of professionals, bachelor, master's and doctoral degree programmes are offered in different fields so as to nurture high-quality professionals with global vision. According to the approval by the Administrative Board, and the Teaching Staff Charter of Macao Polytechnic University, applications are invited through open recruitment for full-time academic staff.

Full-time Professor in the area of Management Science 1 Vacancy (Ref. 2324-FCHS-008)

Job Duties: 

Applicants shall perform the duties as stipulated in Article No. 5 and Paragraph No. 1 of Article No. 6 in the Teaching Staff Charter of Macao Polytechnic University and be able to teach Public Management, Strategy and Crisis Management, Management in Nonprofit Organizations, Digital Governance and Research Methods in The Social Sciences, etc. (taught in Chinese and English).

Qualifications:   

Applicants must possess a Doctoral Degree in a field of Management Science, with at least 4 years’ teaching experience at the tertiary education level.

Full-time Associate Professor in the area of Cultural Heritage and Anthropology

Job Duties:  

Applicants shall perform the duties as stipulated in Article No. 5 and Paragraph No. 2 of Article No. 6 in the Teaching Staff Charter of Macao Polytechnic University and be able to teach Cultural Heritage Studies, Anthropology, Sino-Western Cultural Exchange, Intangible Cultural Heritage and History and Culture of Macao, etc. (taught in Chinese and English).

Qualifications:  

Applicants must possess a Doctoral Degree in a field related to Cultural Heritage Studies, Anthropology or Archaeology, with at least 4 years’ teaching experience at the tertiary education level.

Salary and Fringe Benefits:  

The salary index of Professor ranges from 770 to 1030 (1 index point = MOP94), with pre-tax annual salary from MOP1,013,320 to MOP1,355,480 (USD1 approx. = MOP8). The salary index of Associate Professor ranges from 540 to 760, with pre-tax annual salary from MOP710,640 to MOP1,000,160. The salary scale will be determined in accordance with the appointee’s academic qualifications, tertiary teaching experience and/or relevant professional experience. The appointee will be entitled to the welfare and benefits, including provident fund, medical benefits, housing allowance, and family subsidies, as stipulated in the Personnel Charter of Macao Polytechnic University.
