The Tanaka Lab. is researching "material AI hardware," in which materials perform computations that mimic the human brain. Material AI hardware is one of the most important next-generation artificial intelligence technologies to replace the current supercomputer-based artificial intelligence that requires enormous power consumption and huge amounts of computation. We are seeking two postdoctoral researchers who will scientifically promote improving the quality of materials, their devices, and circuits, which are the key technologies necessary for the realization of AI hardware. (1) In collaboration with Prof. Tanaka and Assistant Professor Dr. Usami, conduct experimental research on material AI hardware from the standpoint of a specialist in materials science, material chemistry, or analog integrated circuits. However, experience in the field is not required as long as the candidate is willing to conduct research.

Pay increase system:Yes. Starting with a monthly salary of 300,000 yen (before tax and insurance reduction), a monthly salary increase of 10,000 yen will be given for each accepted First-author article that meets the criteria. Thereafter, there will be no salary reduction.
