Laboratory for Chemistry and Life Science, Institute of Innovative Research
(Laboratory for Chemistry and Life Science (CLS), which consists of four major divisions- “molecular synthesis”, “molecular materials design”, “molecular functions” and “molecular bioscience”, carries out a wide range of researches on molecular science and engineering, covering not only fundamental and applied chemistry but also life science. By bringing domestic and international research activities together, CLS aims at creating new principles of molecular-based chemistry and bioscience and thereby making breakthroughs for the next generation science and technology. The final goal of CLS is to contribute to the realization of sustainable development of human society through front-line chemical researches)

[Work content and job description]
• Conduct internationally advanced research in own research fields including application.
• As the principal investigator (PI) of a group (research cluster) consisting of Associate Professor 1 and Assistant Professor 2, manages the research group in the Division of Molecular Advanced Chemistry and supervises graduate and undergraduate students.
・Lectures and exercises in undergraduate courses as well as lectures in English for the graduate school courses in the School of Materials and Chemical Technology, or School of Life Science and Technology.
・Other administrative works for CLS, IIR and Graduate School etc.

Annual salary:8 million yen - 11 million yen
Wages description:The successful candidate will be paid under the “Annual Salary System with Lump-Sum Retirement Allowance” pursuant to the Institute’s Regulations on Wage and Salary for Staff under Annual Salary System with Lump-Sum Retirement Allowance. In accordance with the regulations, the amount of annual salary will be determined based on the standard level for the first fiscal year of employment, and will be based on performance evaluations in subsequent years. A retirement allowance will be paid separately at the time of retirement.

・Professor who has 15 years of work experience after completing a doctoral degree.
