The candidate will be expected to teach both undergraduate and graduate courses in English literature as well as to maintain an active research record in English literary studies and related fields. For this reason, an ideal candidate will have research as well as teaching interests in both English literature and also one or more of the following related fields: world literature, translation theory, ecocriticism and environmental humanities, gender and sexuality studies, critical race theory, comparative arts (literature and film, visual art, music, performance, etc.), and/or digital humanities.

Job content supplemental explanation:Work Responsibility
The successful candidate will be required to perform the following core tasks:
1) Undergraduate teaching in SILS (Expression Cluster)
2) Graduate teaching in GSICCS (Culture and Communication Study Plan)
3) Supervision or deputy supervision of GSICCS MA and PhD students
4) Evaluating MA theses and PhD dissertations in GSICCS oral examination committees
5) Contributing actively to the research development of the University (independent research activities, international publications, fund-seeking applications, conference organization, collegial academic life with SILS and GSICCS members)
6) Fulfilling administrative duties in SILS and GSICCS as required by the University (entrance examination, committee work, etc.)
Note: We are on a 14-week semester system, in which each class period (koma) is 100 minutes long. In general, a full-time faculty member teaches at least nine koma a year, with four or five koma per week each semester.
