The Graduate School of Humanities, Osaka University, established in April 2022, is committed to the research and teaching of innovative humanities across disciplines and national-cultural boundaries. While inheriting the core of traditional episteme, the graduate school aims to make academic contributions to changing society with new humanistic approaches.

The Division of Language and Culture, Graduate School of Humanities is currently seeking a tenured faculty member to join the Study Field of Second Language Education and Department of English.

[Work content and job description]
• Teaching of undergraduate English courses (in principle, five 90-minute classes per week in each semester in the first year of employment; four or five 90-minute classes per week in each semester in the subsequent years)
• Teaching of graduate courses; supervision of graduate students (from the second year of employment);
• Research in the above field (Second Language Education (including Language Education, English Language Education, Language Teaching Methodology, Pedagogy, Applied Linguistics));
• Administrative duties of the Graduate School of Humanities and the university
