[Work content and job description]
1) Laboratory of Silviculture studies tree adaptation mechanisms and dry matter production in relation to soil and other site environmental conditions, with a focus on tree characteristics such as persistence and giant tree size, with the aim of developing techniques for forest growth and conservation under diverse regional and environmental conditions. The discipline encompasses soil science, plant physiology, genetics and forest ecology, and includes all levels of forest ecosystem function, from the molecular and cellular to the individual and ecosystem levels. We seek those who will lead and enthusiastically engage in cutting-edge, interdisciplinary research and education that deepens and integrates the aforementioned fields, including international expansion.
2) Teaching responsibilities: undergraduate courses (Silviculture, Forest Soil Science, Forest Ecophysiology, Training for Forest Science Basics I ＆ III, Experiments in Forest Soil Science, Experiments in Forest Life Science, Graduation Thesis)
3) Teaching responsibilities: graduate school (Advanced Silviculture, Basics in Silviculture, Advanced Forest Soils, Research in Forest Science, Advanced Course in Forest Life and Environmental Science, Research and Seminar in Forest Life and Environmental Science)
Scope of change: The faculty member may be reassigned, concurrently assigned, or transferred to another position. (In principle, such an order will not be issued against his/her will. Annual salary:6 million yen
Wages description:Basic salary will be decided taking your academic background, professional background, etc. into account. Wage Raise System: Yes
Examples: Doctor / from JPY 340,000
Various Allowances:Bonus (twice a year), Commuting Allowance (basically up to JPY 55,000), and other allowances decided by the University
Working hours:09:00-17:30
Break time:12:00-12:45
Holidays :Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, and year-end through New Year holidays (from December 29 to January 3 of the following year).
Overtime and other explanations:Discretionary labor system: Working hours is deemed as 7 hours and 45 minutes per day, basically the above working hours.
