Offer Description
SILCO overall objective regards the strategic CO2 recovery and reuse. The use of dual function materials (DFM) coupling capture CO2 and as catalysts for fuel production is promising. The use of functionalized silica is promising and is expected to open the door to the development of novel low-cost high activity DFM materials. Accordingly, SILCO aims at the development of novel multifunctional silica-based CO2 having incorporated both the CO2 adsorption and methanation functionalities. Specifically, SILCO proposed the production of silica with well-defined morphological and structural characteristics and porosity, as secondary raw materials from the recovery and reuse of hexafluorosilicic acid (FSA), suitable for the gas recovering and catalytic applications, objectives of the project.
