Offer Description

The successful candidate will study the kinetics of cAMP production and PKA activation downstream catecholamines in cardiac cellular models. He/she will address the following questions:
i) Are there specific PKA microdomains responsible for RIP3 phosphorylation?
ii) Which are the molecular determinants of RIP3-activation in response to catecholamines?

He/she will apply biochemical and imaging approaches to map the cAMP/PKA microdomains involved in RIP3 phosphorylation. In addition, he/she will use proximity labeling approaches for identifying changes in the interactome of RIP3 in response to catecholamines and other cAMP-inducing agents.
