Scientific Computing Support - Structural Biology

  • University degree or PhD in Computer Science/Biocomputing/Computational Structural Biology, related fields or equivalent experience;
  • Strong working knowledge of Linux flavours;
  • Strong working knowledge of HPC job scheduling (SLURM);
  • Understanding of GPU and accelerator technologies;
  • Proficient in compilation and optimizations based on CPU instructions sets;
  • Working experience with Spack and/or EasyBuild;
  • Working experience with automation tools (Ansible);
  • Working experience with software development lifecycle platform like Gitlab (Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Continuous Deployement)
  • Knowledgeable in scripting and parallelization (pdsh/clustershell/Python);
  • Experience with Docker and/or Singularity;
  • Fluency in English.

Highly desirable skills:

  • Proven experience in common structural biology software (e.g. Relion, Cryosparc2, CCP4, CCP-EM, AlphaFold2 …)
