Offer Description
The research project is in the framework of a PRIN22 financed project with the tiltle “Thermochemiluminescence-based nanoprobes for multiplex prostate cancer biomarkers in personalized medicine” (ThermoPros). The aim is to use thermochemiluminescence (TCL) to realize a point of care tests (POCT) device for the simultaneous assay of the main prostate cancer (PCa) biomarkers (till to four), based on thermochemiluminescent nanoprobes. To make up for the actual PSA screening in serum that suffers from a limited sensitivity and a high false-positive incidence, this stable and efficient device will be based on a lateral flow Immunoassay with a spectral and spatial resolution.
The part of the project that will involve the enrolled researcher is the characterization of the new probes and their integration in the analytical format to be implemented in the POCT.
