Offer Description
The research involves the development of dynamic maps at urban and sub-urban scale for flood risk assessment. Given the drainage system design return period and its design life, the aim is the development of residual risk monitoring maps over the linear infrastructures by considering two different rainfall scenarios: (i) based on historical rainfall records, and (ii) based on future rainfall projections.
The assessment of pluvial flood risk is the key point for the second step that involve setting up tailored communication strategies aimed at, in the first place, increasing the interested parties’ awareness of the risks they are exposed to. Risk communication is also addressed to stakeholders. One product of the research is at development of clear and communicative pluvial flood risk interactive maps for citizens.
