Offer Description

Develop, implement and apply AI-based algorithms for the optimization of electron phase-plate microscopy via controlled beam shaping. The primary goal of this project is to develop the "Ghost Imaging" technique, where the sample receives a structured illumination created and modulated by a device called "phase plate" located above the sample in the microscope column. By varying the illumination characteristics we acquired the experimental
data set, which needs to be reconstructed to extract physical information. AI, at the core of this project, is necessary from three standpoints: i) drive the phase plate to optimize information transfer, ii) control the experimental apparatus' parameters, and iii) analyze process and reconstruct the experimental data set.
