Offer Description
Copepods are the most abundant metazoans on Earth. They are
the linchpin between primary producers and higher trophic levels, and play a key role in
biogeochemical processes. Since 2007, the calanoid copepod Pseudodiaptomus marinus, nonindigenous
to the Mediterranean basin, has been found in an increasing number of sites. The grant
will focus on the implementation of experiments aimed at defining the physiological and
behavioural traits of P. marinus, also including omic approaches. The job will include both
laboratory activities, through the establishment of a multigeneration rearing, and field work, as
well as the analysis of the data collected.

Selection process
Competition based on qualifications and interview. The assessment of the candidates will be conducted by a special jury, which will examine the qualifications and the performance of an interview aimed at ascertaining the candidate's professional expertise in scientific, as well as his attitude to carry out specific research subject of the application
