Offer Description

The research fellow will have to model a working environment in Extended Reality in which to insert biophilic elements (plants) through a graphical user interface (GUI) to be implemented. The working environment will have to be created based on scans of real environments to be made by professional scanners. The point cloud acquired through the scanning will have to be manipulated through appropriate CAD software to correct any errors and will have to be optimized for stable visualization in the immersive environment, through Unity software. Here, the fellow will also have to create a GUI that allows the automatic insertion of biophilic elements respecting some parameters defined 5 through the GUI (e.g., quantity, plant type, distance between plants). The fellow will also have to study the most effective method for automatic and random insertion, such as using Poisson's algorithm.
