Position

The chosen candidate will be part of the Connected Systems & Cybersecurity research domain focusing on the design and development of advanced network solutions according to the latest innovations introduced by 5G and 6G networks.

In particular, the candidate will work on both the development of software services and the interaction of these services with next-generation networks, interacting with real devices and focusing on the implementation of use cases related to connected and cooperative vehicles.

The figure will join a dynamic and young team, working on projects of international relevance and collaborating with companies from all over Europe. The candidate will have the chance to actively participate in the project activities and in the realization of real use cases with applications in the field, with the possibility of travel abroad. The candidate will have the opportunity to embark on a professional growth path that will allow him/her to acquire skills in innovative topics and the most widely used technologies and tools in the market.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess a master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, ICT Engineering for smart societies, Electronics, or any related field.

Recent graduate or recent doctorate.

Minimum requirements:

• basic knowledge of new 5G cellular network technologies
• knowledge of object-oriented programming, data modelling and good software development skills;
• knowledge of versioning tools (i.e. Git), Linux environment and programming languages (e.g. Python);
• knowledge of Docker and the microservices approach
• fluent communication in English, both written and oral;
• knowledge of Italian language is not mandatory;
• natural inclination towards working in a team and strong focus on constantly learn about new technologies

One or more of the following is considered a plus:

• knowledge of other programming languages (e.g. C++, Angular, etc...);
• knowledge of orchestration tools (i.e. Kubernetes, OMS)

Basic employment agreement conditions

· fixed-term, full-time researcher agreement (24 months);

· terms and conditions of employment are fixed by national collective bargaining agreement (CCNL Terziario);

· maximum of 10 days of smart working per month;

· meal vouchers
