Offer Description

The activity of the research associate will be dedicated to conducting archaeological and geoarchaeological analyses in Cyprus, in particular at the Middle Bronze Age site of Erimi. The researcher must have: a deep knowledge of the archaeology of the Eastern Mediterranean, and Cyprus in particular, and a previously gained experience in archaeological fieldworks conducted in this region; an acquired knowledge of geoarchaeological analyses (micromorphology, XRF, SEM-EDX, XRD and FTIR applications); a preferential experience in the analysis of prehistoric earthen architecture. The research associate will actively collaborate with the PI of the project and with the other project members in the analysis of the data collected, in the preparation of papers for high-ranking scientific journals and in the organisation of events and strategies for the dissemination of the project results.
