Offer Description

Recent studies have shown that minimal residual disease (MRD) negativity translate into significantly superior clinical outcomes for multiple myeloma (MM) patients, with respect to MRD-positive patients. This has led to a redefinition of response criteria to include MRD evaluation in the assessment of response to therapies. Furthermore, several reports have shown that liquid biopsy is a noninvasive procedure that can provide a more comprehensive view of the tumor molecular profile and disease status.
The present project is therefore aimed at molecular characterization of patients with MM in the disease onset phase and monitoring of tumor dynamics during treatment by means of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS)-based bio-molecular investigations.
