Offer Description
This project aims to identify early markers of neurodegeneration at clinical, neuropsychological, and electrophysiological level, by means of multimodal markers, in patients with isolated REM sleep behavior disorder (iRBD) compared with those with overt neurodegenerative diseases (with or without concomitant or preceding RBD) and healthy controls. By performing a cross-sectional investigation, the researcher needs to detect any clinical-neuropsychological and instrumental change in these cohorts of patients in order to identify prodromal markers of phenoconversion in iRBD and to probe whether the iRBD may distinguish among different phenotypes of future neurodegeneration. Translationally, this multidimensional panel of markers will allow early diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases and support the design of innovative treatments, both pharmacological and neuromodulatory
