Offer Description

The project will focus on the construction of a new class of nonparametric Bayesian models for spatial data, and the design of suitable Monte Carlo algorithms for the computation of a posteriori inference. Computational efficiency will be a central aspect of the project. These models will be applied to data concerning the effects of air pollution on human health, focusing on two main areas: (i) solving problems of spatial misalignment between observed variables relating to the effects of air pollution on human health and (ii) to perform clustering of individuals based on their health outcomes. The models should also include specific covariates characterized by a clear spatial association.
