Research Fellow (Post Doctoral)

Updated: 3 months ago
Location: Dublin Bar, LEINSTER
Job Type: FullTime
Deadline: 01 Feb 2024

This position is funded by the ‘UGP+’  Horizon Europe project.

Healthy and resilient societies depend on giving nature the space it needs. The recent COVID-19 pandemic makes the need to protect and restore nature all the more urgent and continues to raise awareness of the links between our own health - both physical and mental - and the health of ecosystems. Human activity is the main driver of biodiversity loss, and current planning practices have either contributed to existing conditions or not yet managed to create the necessary outcomes at a scale to halt or reverse it. As home to more than 70 percent of the population already, European cities have a crucial role in restoring and enhancing biodiversity, which in turn positively impacts our physical, mental, and emotional health and increases the resiliency of our socio-economic, urban, and environmental infrastructure.
