The Regional Manager will report to the Associate Director: Student Recruitment. They will join an existing team whose function is to manage Trinity’s recruitment strategy in key markets to deliver on ambitious targets for EU and Non-EU students. The role will support and manage a range of recruitment activities in an agile way according to emerging strategic needs in multiple markets, potentially including domestic, EU and Non-EU markets.

The role will prioritise the development Trinity’s profile in diverse regions, to promote Trinity programmes, and provide support to students and other stakeholders. This will require the management and organisation of strategic activities including attendance at education fairs, promotional visits to schools and guidance counsellors, engagement with strategic partners. The role will require regular solo travel throughout the year. It will also involve regular market research, strategic analysis of developments in the sector, tracking progress against strategic objectives and targets and reporting on that progress to key stakeholders.

With excellent communication, management and organisational skills and customer focus, the successful candidate will coordinate the processes for effectively handling enquiries from prospective students, their parents and their advisers, as well as representatives, regarding studying at Trinity.

The position is ideally suited to an experienced individual who is a self-starter and who wishes to pursue a career in higher education. As much of the travel will be unaccompanied, the appointee must be proactive with high levels of drive and self-motivation. Candidates should have excellent knowledge of international education and have an awareness of the opportunities and challenges associated with marketing education in Ireland in abroad. The post holder is expected to be flexible in practice, a good team player, and willing to commit to working within a rapidly changing office environment.

Post status: Specific Purpose Contract

The specific purpose of this appointment is to cover an Administrative 2 vacancy on a temporary basis pending the return of the postholder from Maternity Leave . Employment is not offered on an indefinite duration basis as the original postholder is expected to return. If the postholder does not return to work the post will be filled through open competition.

Hours of Post: 35 hours per week

Salary: This appointment will be made on the Administrative 2 Salary Scale (€54,907 - €64,515 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy. monthly/weekly payscales. (tcd.ie)
