The Operations Manager (Facilities) is a three-year Fixed Term Contract position created to support the transitional opening and operational management of the Martin Naughton E3 Learning Foundry Building. This new state-of-the-art 7,256 m2 facility, located in the East End of Trinity’s main campus comprises teaching facilities, laboratories and interactive learning spaces for undergraduate and postgraduate students. In particular, the building will be the primary location for students enrolled in programmes offered by the E3 schools of Computer Science and Statistics, Engineering and Natural Sciences. Its purpose is to provide a multi-disciplinary environment that facilitates an expansion of the learning opportunities and skills-set of students graduating within STEM disciplines.

The post-holder will have responsibility for (i) enabling the transition of school-based activities into this new space (ii) developing a collaborative approach to the use of this new teaching and research facility and (iii) establishing it as a shared resource. The aim is to provide staff and students with the learning experiences they need to act responsibly in the face of emerging environmental challenges and to create new sustainable technologies. This role will support staff and students through the pre-opening, phased and post-construction operations associated with the occupation and management of the building. They will help shape, mentor and create an effective E3LF facility team (comprising of existing and new E3 school- staff) charged with coordinating the operation of the building.

Post status: 3 Year Fixed Term

Hours of Post: 35 hours per week

Salary: This appointment will be made on the Administrative 1 (Points 1-6), Salary Scale (€65,367 - €103,503 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy. monthly/weekly payscales. (tcd.ie)
