Post Summary

Applications are invited for the above post, which will support the Head of Discipline and the School of Medicine education division at the Tallaght University Hospital/Naas General Hospital in the delivery, organization, coordination and assessment of the undergraduate medical programme.   

The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to the ongoing review of the curriculum. The successful applicant will also engage in research and clinical activities but will be expected to spend at least one third of their time contributing to the teaching programme. 

The successful candidates must complete all relevant pre-employment checks upon commencement of post, including but not limited to; be registered with the Irish Medical Council, be cleared from a Garda vetting, and be cleared from occupational health perspective by the relevant hospital. 

Post status: The appointment is offered on a one-year fixed term contract basis with a potential for renewal up to a maximum of 3 years. The appointment is available from 8th July 2024. 

Salary: This appointment will be made on the HSE Registrar scale €63,078 - €74,280 per annum scale or HSE Specialist Registrar scale €70,716 - €88,043 per annum in line with current public pay policy.
